OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST

  • To promote Indian Brands in Overseas Markets with the primary objective of brand promotion and not export promotion.

  • To make the "Made in India" label a symbol of quality, competitive price, reliability and service to the customer;

  • To project India as a reliable supplier of quality goods and services;

  • To facilitate dissemination of knowledge of our products and services, obtain feedback on our products and services; and sensitise the stakeholders on improvements needed in them;

  • To guide industry associations, commercial and public sector organisations concerned in identifying and pursuing strategies and measures for promoting India's image;

  • To encourage interaction among intellectuals, Industry, trade (both domestic and foreign) and Government in promoting India's brand image;

  • To promote programme for the creation of countrywide awareness of the global imperative for quality and high business ethics; and

  • To provide a forum in which a vision of India as a reliable global player is conceived, developed and disseminated.


  • Eligible Activities

  • To finance the activities linked to the objective of brand promotion as distinct from export promotion.

  • Undertake international promotions to project India as a whole as well as specific production sectors viz., Industry, agriculture, services etc.

  • Support sectoral promotions: e.g., within industry, specific industries like engineering, textiles, electronics, pharmaceuticals, softwares etc.

  • Support product group promotion within each sector: e.g., within engineering products, segments like cycles, automobiles etc.

  • Support particular brands which have achieved worldclass quality and performance standards.

  • Support domestic awareness generation programme directed at quality and high business ethics.


  • NO ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED EXCEPT FOR PROJECTS FOR GENERIC PRODUCTS & INDUSTRIES/COUNTRY PROMOTION


    Exp:Financial Assistance will be available for activities to promote generic products, e.g., tea, basmati rice, textiles, software etc. in addition to activities aimed at promoting India as a reliable supplier of quality products at a competitive price.Financial Assistance will also be available for promoting India as a source for worldclass quality and superior technology in areas like Space, Telecommunications & Technology so as to boost & enhance India's image.
